Volunteer
If you are able to give a few hours of your time to volunteering, we need help in a number of areas:
Warm Hub
This winter we are opening a Warm Hub in Peterborough for older people who are struggling with their energy bills or feeling lonely. From January 2023, it will run every Wednesday morning at KingsGate. If you would like to help with this, then please let us know you're interested in volunteering.
Donations
Peterborough Foodbank, the KingsGate Food Pantry and Care Zone are serving thousands of people every year and more people are needing their help than ever before because of the cost-of-living increases. If you are able to help, then please can you consider donating to these projects.
Food Pantry Donations
The Food Pantry are in need of the following donations:
- Washing detergent
- Toilet rolls
- Any toiletries
- Tomato Soup
- Hot sponge puddings
- Cereal bars
- Cooking oil
Please bring your donations to Dodson House, Fengate, Peterborough, PE1 5XG.
Monetary donations will help the team get other items that can't be donated. You can give online to KingsGate (follow the instructions and choose the Food Pantry).
debt advice service
We’re looking for volunteers to play a vital part in our debt advice service by befriending and supporting people who are on a journey to becoming debt-free. No financial expertise is required to volunteer, this role can be done remotely and full training will be provided.
